Harley’s Little Buddy

Step into the heartwarming tale of Harley and his special friend, a young boy with autism, whose incredible bond blossomed at my husband’s automotive shop.

Harley met tons of people at Steve’s garage but this young boy was special to Harley.  The boy’s mom was delighted that her son showed such an interest in our beloved dog and she proposed an idea.  Would it be ok to visit Harley even if the car didn’t need to be fixed?  Of course! 

Through regular visits to see Harley, this remarkable boy found a companion like no other - a loyal friend who listened without judgment and offered unconditional love.  Over time, their friendship bloomed, and the boy even learned to say Harley's name in his own unique way - "Arley.”

For the young boy, visits with Harley became more than just playtime - they were a source of joy, comfort, and progress.  As a reward for his hard work and good behavior, spending time with Harley became a treasured incentive, motivating him to express himself and share his world in new ways. 

In a world where understanding and connection can be rare treasures, the friendship between Harley and this young boy is a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
